Propeller has pioneered a five stage graduate sales recruitment model which provides an unprecedented level of value and integrity for potential employers.

Propeller firstly takes a detailed brief of bespoke requirements from our recruiting partners before screening and phone interviewing hundreds of potential candidates against these specifications.

Up to twelve outstanding individuals progress onto assessment centres where ten core competencies that include drive, intellect and initiative are measured through presentations, role play and interviews.

This is where all other ‘value added’ recruitment models end. Propeller instead hires and enrols the successful candidates onto their Academy. For 50% of the time, they are doing paid sales work and for the other 50% undertaking an Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM) approved sales training syllabus.

Our recruiting partners visit the Academy where they can see their prospective employees in training as well as on the sales floor where they are approaching potential customers cold in a deliberately tough environment. Hiring companies use leading edge technology in order to listen in on live sales calls and review call durations. This combined with formal and informal interviews guides them as to whom has the most star potential for their organisations.

The model allows for candidates to learn the theory behind sales excellence, before putting it into practice under the supervision of proven sales managers. As well as motivating and coaching, the management team also set very high standards of dress and personal conduct in order to ensure that Academy graduates are ‘business ready’ with a level of maturity far beyond their years.
